Bed Wetting
(Nocturnal Enuresis)
Chiropractic's approach to the problem!
Oh No. Not Again!
Are these common words that you say when you wake your child up in the morning?
It is easy to get upset with a child that continually wets the bed. The constant washing of sheets and cleaning up the mess takes a wear and tear on the family and the cost of buying "pull ups" for an older child quickly adds up.
The majority of children are not to blame for this problem. They do not wet their bed on purpose or are not too "lazy" to get up and go to the bathroom. Wetting the bed is embarrassing.
So what causes bed wetting to continue in some children? It may be a problem with the child's phrenic nerve reflex.
What is the phrenic nerve reflex? The phrenic reflex is a spinal reflex.
